Physical Activity

Physical activity or exercise can improve our health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life. Exercising delivers oxygen and nutrients to your whole body, helping to work more efficiently and boost your endurance. Exercise makes you happier because it releases chemicals in your brain called endorphins that are known to make you feel happier and more relaxed. Exercise increases blood flow and oxygen levels in the brain. It also encourages the release of the brain chemical (hormones) that are responsible for the production of cells in the hippocampus, the part of the brain that controls memory and learning This, in turn, boosts concentration levels and cognitive ability, and helps reduce the risk of cognitive degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Exercise is good for your mind, body, and soul.

Self Defense Technique

Physical self-defense is the use of physical force to counter an immediate threat of violence. Such force can be either armed or unarmed. In either case, the chances of success depend on a large number of parameters, related to the severity of the threat on one hand, but also on the mental and physical preparedness of the defender. Mental self-defense is the ability to get into the proper mindset for executing a physical self-defense technique.

Yoga

Yoga is a mind and body practice with historical origins in ancient Indian philosophy. Yoga has become popular as a form of physical exercise based upon asana (physical poses) to promote improved control of mind and body and to enhance well-being. Any ailment in the body can put a damper on your enthusiasm and become a hindrance in performing daily tasks. Many yoga asanas can help you stay physically healthy, but that’s not the only prerequisite for holistic well-being. Your mental health is equally crucial.

Meditation

Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy. Overcoming negative minds and cultivating constructive thoughts is the purpose of the transforming meditations found in the Buddhist tradition. This is a profound spiritual practice you can enjoy throughout the day, not just while seated in meditation.

Memory Boosting

Brain plays a phenomenal role in carrying out daily tasks. Ability to respond, comprehend, perceive and function well is related to the health of brain.
